My Story
Healing through therapy, movement, and meaningful reflection.
Healing through therapy, movement, and meaningful reflection.
I am a licensed clinical social worker based in Texas, offering compassionate therapy for individuals and families navigating life’s complex and tender moments. Over the past few years, I worked in a cancer hospital, supporting patients and families through illness, uncertainty, grief, and life and death situations. That experience deeply shaped my practice and led me to focus on loss, medical trauma, chronic illness, spirituality, identity, and meaning-making.
I have experience working with teens, young adults, older adults, and families, especially during seasons of medical challenge, transition, or personal change. I understand that difficult circumstances can affect your relationships, sense of self, values, and connection to meaning. My approach is collaborative, reflective, and grounded in compassion. I strive to create a space where your story can unfold honestly, with room for both the pain you carry and the strengths you may not yet see.
Together, we may explore grief and loss, personal values, identity, illness, trauma, spirituality, and ways to reconnect with meaning, purpose, and inner strength. I am conversational in Spanish and strive to meet each client with cultural humility, respect, and care.

Education & Work
I earned my Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin’s Steve Hicks School of Social Work in 2023, with a concentration in clinical practice and healthcare. Before becoming a therapist, I studied business at Tulane University in New Orleans and competed as a collegiate swimmer.
My experience as an athlete continues to inform my clinical work, especially with clients navigating injury, performance pressure, identity shifts, disordered eating, and life transitions. Since entering the field, I have worked in oncology, supporting patients and families through medical trauma, chronic illness, grief, end of life experiences, and trauma informed care.
My Approach
Therapy with me is conversational, thoughtful, and rooted in compassion. I offer support for clients navigating cancer, chronic illness, grief, spirituality, medical trauma, and major life transitions.
In our work together, we may explore personal values, identity, loss, uncertainty, and the ways difficult experiences can shape your sense of self. My hope is to help you slow down, feel more connected to your story, and move toward clarity, meaning, and inner strength.

The Story Behind The Name

Honoring a Legacy
This concept emerged in spring 2024, while grieving the loss of my grandfather, Pops. During this time of reflecting on Pops’ life, I felt a sense of divine intervention calling me to honor his legacy. I felt inspired to create art cards to prompt human connection and launch my future private practice. As a social worker, I’m no stranger to tough questions. And in processing my grief, I was challenged to sit with the questions I often pose to others.

What If We Looked Deeper?
What would make today meaningful? If I could write a letter to a loved one to be given at a milestone in their life, what would it say? What would it look like to express my fears and doubts about spirituality? What if there was a tool to help us connect our truest selves with others—and bridge the gap between heaven and earth?

Honest, Loving, Unafraid
Pops lived with honesty, love, and without concern for what it might cost him. He was driven by a desire to serve and to include, rather than judge. Pops did not shy away from asking life’s most nagging questions of himself and others; it was intrinsic to who he was. As he neared the end of his life, he would often say, “only one life will soon be past; only what’s done for Christ will last.”

Until We Meet Again
This is where the vision for Manna Moments came to life: through art, spirituality, movement, and therapeutic practices, I hope to create a space where it’s okay to sit with difficult questions. This company is inspired by and dedicated to my grandparents—Mimi and Pops. Until we meet again, xx -Ellie
