The Story Behind The Name
Honoring a Legacy
This concept emerged in spring 2024, while grieving the loss of my grandfather, Pops. During this time of reflecting on Pops’ life, I felt a sense of divine intervention calling me to honor his legacy. I felt inspired to create art cards to prompt human connection and launch my future private practice. As a social worker, I’m no stranger to tough questions. And in processing my grief, I was challenged to sit with the questions I often pose to others.
What If We Looked Deeper?
What would make today meaningful? If I could write a letter to a loved one to be given at a milestone in their life, what would it say? What would it look like to express my fears and doubts about spirituality? What if there was a tool to help us connect our truest selves with others—and bridge the gap between heaven and earth?
Honest, Loving, Unafraid
Pops lived with honesty, love, and without concern for what it might cost him. He was driven by a desire to serve and to include, rather than judge. Pops did not shy away from asking life’s most nagging questions of himself and others; it was intrinsic to who he was. As he neared the end of his life, he would often say, “only one life will soon be past; only what’s done for Christ will last.”
Until We Meet Again
This is where the vision for Manna Moments came to life: through art, spirituality, movement, and therapeutic practices, I hope to create a space where it’s okay to sit with difficult questions. This company is inspired by and dedicated to my grandparents—Mimi and Pops. Until we meet again, xx -Ellie

Education & Work
I studied business at Tulane University in New Orleans, with hopes of working in a corporate setting. As I got closer to my graduation, I couldn’t ignore life experiences that pointed me to the call of social work: fighting for social justice, valuing relationships, and honoring the dignity and worth of people. I graduated from UT Austin’s Steve Hicks School of Social Work with my MSSW in 2023. Since then, I have gravitated towards grief/loss, medical trauma, spirituality, end-of-life, and trauma-informed care in my practice. These interests have led me to work in oncology with patients and their families.
Beliefs
I’ve always had a deep love for people—their stories, their values, their spirituality, and even their quirks. To me, it’s the small, often overlooked, moments that shape who we are. As a social worker, I embrace meaning-making, creativity, and honesty, allowing individuals to connect with the strengths found in their stories. I strive to create a space where people’s stories and reflection can unfold authentically. Whether it’s through the exploration of personal values or the discovery of how one finds meaning in their life, my goal is to facilitate growth, healing, and connection.
